Programs for Adults
The library offers several programs for adults. Regularly scheduled events include a book discussion group, a knitting group and a hiking group. Other programs are scheduled throughout the year and include computer classes, author talks, gardening and craft sessions and political forums. Check the calendar for these special events.
Book Club The library's book club meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 PM. The group chooses the books which range from biography and memoir to new and classic fiction. The July 2010 selection is The Help by Kathryn Stockett. For August the group will read and discuss To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and September's book is Peace Like a River by Leif Enger. The group is always open to new members.
