How do I get a library card?
You must come to the library to complete a library card application. A photo ID with your current address is required. If you are a new resident and have not yet updated your ID, a bill such as a water bill with your current address will work.

How much does a card cost?
Library cards are free to all Washington County residents. You may also get a free card if you work, attend school or own property in Washington County. Proof of these statuses is required. Otherwise there is a $10 annual fee for a card.

What is the check out period and how much are fines?
Everything checks out for two weeks. Movies can not be renewed. Fines are $.10 per day for books and $1.00 per day for movies.

Does the library have computers I can use?
Public access computers are available and print is charged at $.10 a page. Wi-fi is available 24/7 in the parking lot and is free.

Does the library have a copy machine?
Copying is available for $.15 a page for black and $.25 for color.

Does the library have a scanner or fax?
Yes, we have both a scanner and a fax machine. Faxes cost $1.00 a page.

Does the library have materials other than books?
The library has movies, the local newspaper, some music CDs, a few magazines, and audio books both for adults and children.
Spay and neuter forms, state tax forms and some federal tax forms are also available at the library.

Does the library have a meeting room I can use?
The library's meeting room is available at no cost to non-profit organizations on an ad-hoc basis. There is a form to be completed. The library does not allow parties, reunions or groups of that kind.

Does the library have a Notary Public.
Yes, Margaret is notary and if she is at the library is glad to provide this service for free.
